proper english

I bought a second-hand desk chair today from somebody leaving the island. That’s one thing to love about living here…people come and go and when they leave they rarely take all the stuff they had shipped here when they came to live the dream.

So there’s lots of great stuff to find if you know where (and when) to look.

And today was my lucky day. I got the chair (practically brand new). The home office I’ve been working on is really starting to take shape.

And Island Boy came home and called the chair “posh”…a word I never would have thought to use to describe the chair (or most anything else, I suppose…too American, I guess)…but it is a nice chair, actually…and hearing his “Englishness” always makes me smile.

I love having a Brit in my life. πŸ˜‰
